Chris Howell, former head coach for Star Valley Football, called into First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday on June 13 to talk about joining the staff of the Utah State Aggies as part of Bronco Mendenhall's staff.

Former SVHS Lady Braves Wrestler Veil Foreman stepped into the SVI Radio studio during First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday to reflect on her decorated career as a high school wrestler and her commitment to wrestler for the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers. 

 

Director Angi Bruce with the Wyoming Game & Fish called into SVI Radio's Weekday Wake-Up for her monthly report. Bruce discussed a variety of topics including the ongoing investigation into an April poaching incident in southern Lincoln County, grizzly bear activity in lower elevations, and news related to fishing in the state.

Matt McMurdo, Commander for the Star Valle Search & Rescue called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Thursday, June 12 to provide an update on the upcoming Ranch Rodeo that will take place on Friday, July 4 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. 

Shannon Bagley, President of the Star Valley 4-H Horse Club, and JaiJ Romine, a member of the club, both stepped into the SVI Radio studio to promote the Family Picnic Day happening this Saturday at the Box H Park in Fairview. The event acts as a fundraiser for the club. 

Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Tuesday, June 10 for his monthly report. Johnson discussed various scams and fraud that have been going around the area and how to avoid them. Sheriff Johnson also spoke to the value female deputies bring to the sheriff's office and local law enforcement as a whole.

Town of Afton Administrator Violet Sanderson stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Thursday, June 5 with her monthly report. Sanderson shared details on the upcoming Afton Freedom Festival and 4th of July celebrations, summer infrastructure projects, the ongoing corridor study and and update on access to the intermittent spring. 

Kristie DeClark and Whitney Bytheway stepped into The Wave studio to discuss the details for Bear Lake Trail Days, happening June 14 from 11:00-6:oo at the Bear Lake County Fairgrounds. The event is sponsored by the Bear Lake Healthcare Foundation. 

Eric Green, Mayor for the Town of Alpine, called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Wednesday, June 4 with his monthly report. Mayor Green provided an update on a land lease for American Preparatory Academy, the upcoming Alpine Mountain Days, Alpine Master Plan website and advanced metering infrastructure.
