Eric Green, Mayor for the Town of Alpine, called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Wednesday, June 4 with his monthly report. Mayor Green provided an update on a land lease for American Preparatory Academy, the upcoming Alpine Mountain Days, Alpine Master Plan website and advanced metering infrastructure. 

 

Brittany Ritter, Director of Prevention Services for the Lincoln County Preventing ATODS Abuse Coalition, called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Monday, June 2. Ritter recapped the recent Call To Action Suicide Prevention Town Hall held in Kemmerer on May 22, along with other upcoming events and trainings taking place in Lincoln County.

Trevor Wilson, Commissioner of the Wyoming High School Activities Association, called into First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday on SVI Radio. Wilson discussed a number of items being discussed by WHSAA, including NIL policy and a proposal for a 5th classification in some sports. 

Newly appointed Star Valley Lady Braves Wrestling Head Coach Jeff Anderson joined Duke & Dahl in the SVI Radio studio during First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday to talk about the program and the upcoming season. 

Emily Martin, part of the Box H Park Board of Directors, stepped into the SVI Radio studio to promote the summer schedule of events for the historic park located in Fairview. 

Chad Baldwin, Director of Marketing and Communications for the University of Wyoming, called into the Weekday Wake-Up with his monthly report from UW. Baldwin discussed a number of items including a student run venture capital program, student business consulting services, study regarding Yellowstone's rhyolitic eruptions, new online portal for LiDAR data and expanding career opportunities for art students. 

Shannon Miller from Bear Lake Animal Hospital stepped into The Wave studio to promote the upcoming Baby Animals Days, happening Saturday, May 31 from 11-1. This is a free, family event. 

Superintendent Matt Erickson stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Tuesday, May 27 with his monthly report from Lincoln County School District No. 2. Erickson discussed graduation ceremonies happening this week, appointment of a new school board member, discussion of potential policy regarding concealed carry on campus and other items. 

This week on the Retirement Roundup Podcast, Tim Hale invites local Real Estate Agent Cory Frome from Star Valley Realty onto the air to discuss the pros and cons of buying land as an investment.
