Kelsi Remmell, Foster Care Coordinator in Star Valley for the Wyoming Department of Family Services, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Monday, September 15 to discuss local needs for foster families.

Allen Simpson stepped into the SVI Radio studio during First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday on September 12 to discuss the Town of Afton's Youth Flag Football League becoming an official NFL Flag Football League. Allen discussed the process to become an affiliate and what it means for participants.

Meredith Leonard, Chair of the Alpine Education Foundation Board of Directors, spoke with SVI Media's Dan Dockstader regarding the American Preparatory Academy Charter School coming to Alpine. 

Kemmerer City Administrator Brian Muir called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Thursday, September 11 for his monthly report. Muir discussed the latest in the TerraPower construction, recapped the Golden Rule Day and gave a report on various other topics. 

Mitchell Wolfley and Bryan Nichols with the Lincoln County Weed & Pest stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Wednesday, September 10 to discuss a growing problem with Spotted Knapweed in Star Valley, especially on the northern end of the valley. Wolfley and Nichols outlined the responsibility of the landowner in treating noxious weeds and the local resources that are available. 

Dave Eskelsen, spokesperson for Rocky Mountain Power, called into the Weekday Wake-Up on SVI Radio to provide an update on the upcoming conversion from coal to natural gas for units 1 and 2 and the Naughton Power Plant Kemmerer. 

Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Tuesday, Sept. 9 for his monthly report. Sheriff Johnson touched on the county response to the Willow Creek Fire, an arrest made following an investigation in a hit and run incident in Alpine, and the recent LOTOJA race held over the weekend.
