Star Valley High School graduate Clay Merritt and Cokeville High School Graduate Jack Dayton called into First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday to chat with Duke & Dahl about preparing for the 2024 Shrine Bowl Game in Casper. SVI Radio Interview: Jace Perry, SkillsUSA Nationals Fundraiser

Jace Perry, a recent graduate of Star Valley High School, hopped on SVI Radio's Weekday Wake-Up on Wednesday, June 5 to talk about winning the carpentry competition at the Wyoming State SkillsUSA event and earning a trip to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in nationals. Jim Webb, CEO of Lower Valley Energy, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Wednesday, June 5, to discuss proposed changed to the cooperative's bylaws to allow each district to elect their own director.  Ballots are being mailed to members on June 5. Members can also pick up ballots at their local LVE office or can vote online at lvenergy.com. Every member who votes will be entered into a drawing to win one of two $1,000 grocery gift cards, one of two $500 energy credits or one of two $300 energy credits.

SVI Radio Interview: Justin Laycock, Intermittent Spring Rock Slide Update

Justin Laycock, Greys River District Ranger with the Bridger-Teton National Forest, called into SVI Radio's Weekday Wake-Up on Monday, June 3 with the latest information regarding the rock slide that occurred last week, covering the Intermittent Spring in Swift Creek Canyon east of Afton. 

The slide has forced the closure of the hiking trail from the picnic table area at the bottom up to the opening of the spring. The spring is the main source of water for the Town of Afton. As of Monday morning the water supplied to the town remained secure. Star Valley's Eric Buehler took photos of the slide, which can be found by clicking here.
