Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson and Star Valley Search & Rescue Commander Matt McMurdo stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Tuesday, March 10.  Johnson and McMurdo promoted the ongoing fundraiser benefiting both the Star Valley Search & Rescue and Lincoln County Search & Rescue as they raffle off a VIP package to this year's Kentucky Derby, courtesy of Fishing Dog Foundation. The drawing will take place on Friday, April 17th live during the Weekday Wake-Up.

Kent Connelly, Chairman of the Lincoln County Commission, joined the Weekday Wake-Up to share his thoughts on a petition to go from three to five commissioners. 

City of Kemmerer Administrator Brian Muir called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Monday, March 9 for his monthly report. Muir discussed the 50th celebration, Cuby Housing company and a new K-9 officer. 

Representative McKay Erickson (R-Afton) called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Monday, March 9 to provide a report on the final few days of the 2026 Wyoming State Legislative Session.

Rep. Erickson provided updates on the budget, school recalibration, property taxes and a gun related bill.

Lance Oviatt, Chairman of the Lincoln County Republican Party, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Wednesday, March 4 to discuss a petition from the Lincoln County GOP to go from three to five commissioners in Lincoln County. 

Town of Alpine Mayor Eric Green called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Wednesday, March 4 with his monthly report from the Town of Alpine. Mayor Green provided an update the Alpine Meadows Sewer and touched on items discussed in the March 3 Town Council meeting. 

Senator Laura Pearson (R-Kemmerer) from Senate District 14 called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Wednesday March 4 from Cheyenne to provide a legislative report. Sen. Pearson discussed the budget that has been sent to the Governor, an update on the current status on school recalibration, details on HB0120 that would impact natural gas production in Opal and additional bills still being discussed. 

 

Angi Bruce, Director of the Wyoming Game & Fish Department, called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Tuesday, March 3 with her monthly report. Director Bruce discussed public meetings recently held in Jackson and Pinedale regarding the Elk Feedground Management Plan and specific pieces of legislation being discussed by lawmakers that would impact the G&F and hunters. 

Mayor Ru Rok with the Town of Star Valley Ranch called into the Weekday Wake-Up to provide a summary of recent Town Council meetings and other items impacting the town. 

Representative Scott Heiner (R-Green River) from House District 18 in southern Lincoln County called into the Weekday Wake-Up on Monday, March 2 with a legislative report from Cheyenne. Rep. Heiner discussed the current status of the budget, school recalibration and highlighted a few other pieces of legislation.
