SVI Radio Interview: Rep. Scott Heiner (R-HD18) Legislative Update

Rep. Scott Heiner (R-Green River) from House District 18 stepped into the SVI Radio studio to provide a legislative report from the summer and fall. Rep. Heiner discussed education funding, nuclear waste storage, security at the TerraPower nuclear facility, and property taxes. 

Heiner's district includes the southern portions of Lincoln County.

Sports Friday Interview: Ben Kjar, World Champion Greco-Roman Wrestler

World Champion Greco-Roman Wrestler and UVU Wrestling Hall of Famer Ben Kjar stepped into the SVI Radio for First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday. Ben has been in Star Valley speaking to students around LCSD#2.

Colton Cranney, a senior for the 2025 Star Valley High School Boys Cross Country Team, stepped into the studio for First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday to discuss his season and the team's season up to this point.

Violet Sanderson, Administrator for the Town of Afton, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Thursday, October 2 for her monthly report. Sanderson discussed the parade route change, Oktoberfest happening this Saturday and gave a summary of completed or soon-to-be completed projects.

Shar Perry, 4-H Youth Educator for the UW Extension Office in Star Valley, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Wednesday, October 1. Perry promoted registration opening for local 4-H clubs, National 4-H Week and the carnival fundraiser taking place towards the end of October.

Representative McKay Erickson (R-Afton) of House District 21 stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Monday, September 19 to report on the legislative work he has been involved with over the course of the summer and into the fall. Rep. Erickson discussed issues such as education funding, public lands and property taxes.
